Advanced paint-on tooth whitening gel - Pola Paint is an easy to use paint-on tooth whitening gel. It is a pleasantly flavored gel with a low viscosity which is easily applied onto the tooth surface.
Steps that you will perform on your teeth:
- Brush and floss teeth as normal.
- Blot dry the front surface of teeth.
- Whilst retracting the lips, apply a thin layer of Pola Paint gel to the front surface of the teeth, re-loading brush as required.
- After application, do not let your lips touch your teeth for 30 seconds to allow the gel to form a tacky film.
- Leave the Pola Paint gel on teeth for 30 minutes.
- Do not eat or drink during this time frame to maximize results.
- At the end of 30 minutes, remove the Pola Paint gel by brushing with a tooth brush.
- Use Pola Paint twice a day for 14 days.
For best results, one of the daily treatments should be applied before going to bed, allowing the pola paint to stay on overnight. When not in use, firmly replace cap to prevent gel from drying out. What
Frequently Asked Question's
Q - How long will it last?
A - This will depend on the patient, and the patient's oral habits. Pola Paint can be used daily to brighten your teeth.
Q - Is the treatment safe?
A - Yes. Clinical studies have shown that bleaching under the supervision of a dentist is safe for teeth and gums.
Q - What is the taste?
A - A pleasant spearmint flavor.
Q - Are there any side effects?
A - For the majority of patients there are none. However, some will experience temporary sensitivity (dull or sharp) on the teeth and/or gums. This will subside after several hours of stopping the treatment. A topical desensitizing tooth paste or gel can be used. Abstain from carbonated drinks, citrus foods and beverages to avoid sensitivity for a few hours after treatment.
Q - Are there any long term effects?
A - Dentists have been using peroxide whitening for over 50 years and there have been no known long term effects.
Q - How often do you have to get your teeth whitened?
A - Once your teeth are whitened it usually lasts 1-3 years, however some people prefer to have touch-ups every 6-12 months or more frequently using Pola Paint
Q - Is it better to get the Pola treatment now or wait until my teeth are more stained?
A - It is better to get it done now as the stains will become worse and darker. The teeth will then require more applications of bleach as stains will be harder to remove.
Q - Are my teeth more easily stained now that they have been whitened?
A - No, the chance of staining your teeth are not increased once they have been whitened, if you follow the post treatment care instructions given by your dentist.
Q - Will my crowns, veneers and fillings get whiter?
A - No, only your natural teeth will.
Q - Is it safe to whiten my teeth if I am pregnant or lactating?
A - No studies have been done so we advise pregnant or lactating women not to undergo bleaching.
